2004 FINAL INFO
To all Competitors:
In less than a week we will start the Extreme Adventure
Hidalgo 2004. You will be amazed of this year's route.
In the attachment you will find the final gear list
with all the required material and some recommendations
(i.e. a neoprene vest to keep warm after the waterfalls)
and some useful information for the swimming section.
A very important statement is that no paddles will
be allowed so you are not required to bring paddles,
the organization will provide the sticks for the kayak
section so it is fair, life vest will be mandatory
in that section.
A climbing helmet is mandatory for the mines, we will
not allow biking helmets in this section. Figure "8"
descending device is recommended as we will be using
11.5 mm ropes in the rapels and ATC usually have problems
with this size of rope. We will be sleeping in hotel
rooms every night except one so bring your sleeping
bag. (No tents are necessary we will provide them)
Bring your bikes in really good shape!!
